Herbie's Vintage '72 - St. Louis, MO

Date of dining experience: June 6, 2015

Place: Herbie's Vintage '72

Location: 405 North Euclid Avenue in St. Louis, MO

Brunch: Eggs Madison Benedict - with salmon and capers, served with roasted potatoes. This dish was absolutely delicious! I love some salmon with my eggs in the morning, especially with capers in the mix! However, there could have been more capers for my taste. Still, worth trying if you're ever in the area for brunch. ($12)

Coffee: regular coffee with brunch. Yeah, the coffee was terrible. I still drank it because it was the only coffee around, but it was not good. It tasted very old, which is highly possible since most of the people there were drinking either a mimosa or bloody mary.

Herbie's is definitely a place you should try. The atmosphere is amazing and they have a small stage area inside. There is a lot more to Herbie's than just brunch, and I can't wait to try it out for dinner.

The service was okay, but it seemed as if they were short-staffed on this particular visit. Someone must have called in that day. They do have live entertainment in the evenings (most of the time), but not for brunch on Saturdays.

Try this place out and let me know if the coffee is good when you visit! Enjoy!
