Morina's - Dexter, MO

Date of dining experience: multiple

Place: Morina's Italian Restaurant

Location: 903 US-60 in Dexter, MO

Entree on 10-28-15: Chicken Genovese - Topped with asparagus and mozzarella cheese, sauteed in a creamy alfredo sauce with a touch of marinara sauce, and served over spaghettini pasta. With this dish I had a glass of House Pinot Grigio, but only because they were out of Chianti and don't have a very good wine selection (but no one in southeast Missouri really has a good wine selection).

Entree on 11-12-15: Chef's Favorite - Chicken and shrimp sauteed with hot cherry peppers and capers in a white wine and creamy alfredo sauce, served over tortellini pasta. With this dish I had a glass of House Cabernet Sauvignon because they were still out of Chianti.

Dessert: The best thing about Morina's are the homemade cannolis! They are absolutely perfect, especially if you eat it at the restaurant. But they are still very good the next day if you take one to go because you filled up on pasta. If you have it at the restaurant, the coffee isn't horrible either!
