Date of dining experience: September 25, 2015
Place: Tucanos Brazilian Grill
Location: 1520 S. 5th St. #100 in St. Charles, MO
Meal: Tucanos Famous Churrasco. This place is set up like a buffet, sort of. They do have a triangle-shaped buffet with salads, soups, breads, etc., but the reason to come here is for the meats! You have a stoplight at your table and when it is green the servers will bring by all their specialty grilled meats on skewers and carve you off a piece. When you are full or want to take a break, just flip your stoplight over to red and no one will bother you!
Meats:
Beef - Picanha (Top Sirloin), Fraldinha (Beef Tender), Picalho (Garlic Parmesan Beef), Assado (Marinated Beef Brisket), Carne Marinada, and File Mignon com Bacon (Bacon Wrapped Filet Mignon).
Poultry - Peru (Turkey wrapped in Bacon), Contra Coxa, and Coracao de Frango.
Pork - Linguica (Brazilian Sausage), Presunto (Brown Sugar-glazed Ham), and Lombo (Pork Loin).
Other - Frutos do Mar (Seafood Selection), Legumes (Grilled Vegetables), and Abacaxi (Grilled Pineapple).
Beer: Goose Island Autumn Ale - This was perfectly dark and hoppy. It paired well with all the grilled meats.
Dessert: Brazilian Flan - A perfect ending of custard and caramel.
This is a wonderful experience for everyone, whether out with the family or on a date. I highly recommend Tucanos! Let me know what you think once you try it. Enjoy!
