This restaurant amazes me. The owner took an old sonic building and turned it into something really nice. The layout of this restaurant is great and the food is even better! The coffee is pretty excellent as well, and is always fresh.
Meal: Monte Cristo ($7.25) - Deli-sliced ham and turkey layered with Swiss and cheddar cheese between three hearty pieces of bread, dipped in egg wash, and grilled, with a side of berry sauce for dipping. Everything about this sandwich was absolutely breathtaking, except the powdered sugar they sprinkled on top (which wasn't in the description). I could have done without the extra sweet flavor. The berry dipping sauce was sweet enough for me, but I am more of a savory kind of person. Other people may prefer it with the powdered sugar.
Coffee: Hot, fresh, and delicious!
I really wish southeast Missouri had a place like this. I would probably go there every weekend for breakfast or brunch. But the only downfall of this restaurant is that they close around 2:00 P.M. every day.
The next time you're in the area and are wanting some breakfast food, give this place a try! You won't be disappointed. Let me know what you think of it! Enjoy!
